Freda Jeffs - President
Freda and her husband Robin moved to Half Moon Bay in 1996 after over 20 years in the South Bay. Freda was a member of the campaign committee for Bonnie McClung’s first run for HMB City Council in 2001. She was co-campaign manager for Bonnie’s successful election in 2005. Freda has also supported the campaigns of other Coastside candidates and worked on several local ballot measures, particularly those involving schools.Les Deman - Director
Les Deman moved to Half Moon Bay in 2001. Quality of life is important to Les as well as to most Coastsiders. However, everyone’s quality of life is advanced when a community has adequate infrastructure. This includes roads that can handle heavy traffic, health and safety institutions that can handle our diverse needs, recreation facilities that can handle adolescents and adult needs, educational institutions that can equip our youth for life’s rigors and growing businesses that will provide economic opportunities for our children.
Nina Pellegrini - Director
Nina was born in Havana, Cuba and in 1961 immigrated to the US with her family. Nina, her husband Mario, their two sons and grandson, have made the coastside their home for over 20 years.
Nina runs the family business; a film & video production company, as well as having produced several documentary films. Nina is a founding director of Californians for Property Rights and Citizens for Responsible Open Space. She also volunteers her time to “Back to Basics”, a non-profit organization that helps fund the local schools.
Lucy Lopez - Director
Lucy was born and raised on the Coastside and still lives here with husband Richard. She worked at the Coastside Medical Clinic but is now retired and active in her church and in the community.
